PODCAST #12
Female Filmmakers Roni Geva And Margaret Katch Talk Cntrl+Alt+Del

This week on the Dream Work Film Podcast I interview female filmmakers Roni and Margaret talking about their new series Cntrl+Alt+Del.

Cntrl +Alt+Del is character driven dramedy, much like Orange Is the New Black, but instead of being set in a prison, it's set in an abortion clinic. The show interviewed 8 women and 1 man and dramatized their stories. Each story is funny, sad, awkward, surprising, and most importantly, normal.

Listen in to learn more about this series, the reasons behind why they are creating it, and why female voices are so incredibly necessary in the world of filmmaking.

To follow Roni and Margaret’s project Cntrl+Alt+Del, click the link the show notes below. When you go to their crowdfunding campaign on Seed&Spark, you can donate or just follow along and stay tuned in to the series’ progress. I’ve already donated and I’m loving what they are posting every week.

Dream Work Film Podcast Interviews Dane Ohlrogge Of BRETT, A Transgender Documentary

Today on the show we have an incredibly talented filmmaker and dear friend of mine Dane Ohlrogge. Dane was my right hand man all through producing Seasons 1 and 2 of THE DREAMERS, from being my DP to my assistant director. He is as driven and talented as they come, so when I heard he had started working on his next independent film project, I knew I had to have him on the podcast.

My goal with this podcast is to bring awareness to amazing independent projects being produced often times by first time filmmakers. Although Dane is not a first time filmmaker, he is a first time documentary filmmaker, and this project is nothing short of amazing. Through this documentary Dane pulls back the curtain on what it means to be transgender and what that journey entails. This story being told is what we as a society need so desperately right now. Listen in to hear about how this project found Dane, what trials and tribulation could await you as you out on your first documentary project, and why this story matters.

DWF Podcast Interviews "THE REAL DEAL GALS", Molly Fisher and Libby Conkle

Today on the podcast I have Molly Fisher and Libby Conkle on to talk about their web series "The Real Deal."

The Real Deal is an absurd romp through Chicago following the lives of best friends Molly and Libby--two creative spirits who don't adhere to convention or back down from any challenge when it comes to expressing who they are inside. They immerse themselves in the cultural and natural riches of Chicago to provoke joy and wonder in the everyday and to provide positive portrayals of women in media. There’s not much these gals won’t do "for real."
